Jazz Band Central news: What's been happening this month?

This month our singer-led jazz band played a fund-raising gig for WLIDs, a Scottish Country dance group who are organising a cultural exchange which will bring the spectacular Catalan Gegant dancers to perform in Scotland later this year. The band, shown above, played the material of Ray Charles, Fats Waller, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and others, and added its own New Orleans flavour to the mixture. The function in the Queen Charlotte Suite, Leith was a great success and the money raised will be put to good use to fund accommodation and transport for the Catalan performers.
